We had an idyllic anniversary weekend. Andrew and Marilou’s cabin is exactly as described – beautiful, private, comfortable, well-appointed and all-round perfect. Highly-recommended for anyone wanting to experience the Vermont lifestyle.

To sum up our experience, we went to hike the White Mountains, but enjoyed the cabin so much we never went! Marilou and Andrew were immensly hospitable, very warm and friendly hosts! The cabin was gorgeous. VERY well stocked with kitchenware, toiletries, towels, board games, movies, linens, and everything you could need aside from the shirt for your back. When we got there, Andrew was already firing the hot tub up for us without us even requesting it. Spent hours enjoying the clean air, watching the moths at night dancing around the deck’s latern lights. The cabin and the hosts are true gems. Everything was beyond expectations. We can’t wait to visit again!

An incredible and unique place. We ate breakfast among the trees and birds, and hot tubbed under the stars. Cabin was well-insulated and very well built, just the right size for a couple or a lone traveler. Very close to St. Johnsbury, which is beautiful and very active. Andrew was very helpful and friendly. 30-40 minutes to Franconia Notch and other White Mountain attractions. We would go out of our way to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay with considerate and warm hosts. Nestled in the woods just back from the road, the cabin provides the perfect platform to relax and indulge in the rustic beauty of Vermont without sacrificing modern conveniences. Well-designed cabin is cozily furnished and stocked with cooking supplies, linens, toiletries, and DVDs. A short drive from picturesque St. Johnsbury and hiking trails. We look forward to returning when we can.

The tree cabin is completely adorable and very comfortable. We enjoyed the view, and the waffle iron and waffle ingredients were greatly appreciated. We’re hoping we’ll have a chance to come back during the summer, and really make use of the deck and the gas grill.

We spent a wonderful 3 nights at Andrew and Marilou’s tree cabin. We didn’t get to meet Marilou, but Andrew was very welcoming and generous. He dropped off eggs and waffle mix to use in the waffle maker and had coffee and tea and cream all there. Our weekend anymore perfect. The tree cabin is incredibly clean and well taken care of, very warm and cozy. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for us. The hosts are some of the nicest people I have met, and were a delight to talk with about our lives & the cabin. The cabin has an amazing back story (that I don’t want to ruin), and while it is hand built, its quality and craftsmanship rivals any place I have ever been. It is nestled up on a hill side above their house, but has the feel of it being its own property. Trees surround the cabin and the hand built stair case that leads you up the the amazing wrap around deck and in-ground, wood heated (and yes, hand crafted) hot tub. It is the little touches that made this cabin, unlimited hot water thanks to the tankless water heater, little lanterns strung up around the deck, AMAZING mattress, detail in everything, and plenty well stocked with local favorites (maple candies, syrup, tea, and local Belgium waffle mix) and plenty of clean towels, toiletries, pots, pans, grill, way to much to (website hidden). J(ohnsbury) down the street would make for a great day on the town. We drove through it on the way home & stopped by some local stores.

My four-year old son and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at Andrew and Marilou’s cozy tree cabin. Everything was as advertised — the descriptions and photos were accurate. Andrew and Marilou were gracious hosts. We are looking forward to returning in the spring or fall to enjoy the beautiful foliage VT has to offer. Thanks, Andrew and Marilou!

We spent a wonderful winter long-weekend in the Tree Cabin. It provided the perfect escape if you’ve got the urban winter doldrums. It’s cozy and warm even in the middle of February. We drank a lot of tea and did a lot of reading. When we arrived the place was spotlessly clean and we were impressed at how well equipped the little cabin was. Andrew was an accommodating host, and we’d definitely come back to stay here again. Things we loved: waffle maker, cozy space, plenty of privacy, groceries and restaurants nearby. Maybe next time we’ll take Andrew up on his offer to fire the outdoor hottub!

Very nice spot! The cabin is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us: very quiet, close to Saint-Johnsbury, 45m drive to Franconia Notch State Park. Marilou & Andrew are very nice hosts and were very discreet during our stay.
